New Pinkey Nails Swatches - Glow Worm and I'm Just A Girl

Hey hey Peeps! How goes it? I'm stoked to bring you yet another Pinkey Nails review! The talented owner Sara just happens to be an awesome polish pal of mine, and when she asked me if I wanted to review some of her new creations I didn't have to think twice! I've seen some photos of her new releases and they are gorgeous, of course I begged to try Glow Worm. Lucky for me, Sara also sent me one of her new holos and a bottle of her soon-to-be-released cuticle oil for review as well. So, let's kick off this review with an awesome macro of Glow Worm...
I love that shot! Not quite sure what my strange addiction with bright yellow polish is lately, but I can't get enough. Have a looky-loo at Glow Worm swatched...
I love the color. The formula of Glow Worm seems thick to me, but I didn't have too much trouble with it. I think the thickness helps build it up, I only used 2 coats for my swatches with OPI Ridge Filler as my base. There's tons of micro glitter mixed in, which makes for a slightly textured, matte finish but I opted to add 2 coats of top coat to smooth it out. Here's a closeup that shows more detail...
I'm diggin' Glow Worm pretty hard. Even though it's on the thicker side, I still prefer it to the mainstream neons I own. I don't have tons, but the ones I do have are streaky as hell and take 3-5 coats to get decent coverage. Here's an extreme Glow Worm closeup, just cuz I can...
Awesome right? It's very rare for me to get a good macro of my fingernail, so I couldn't not show it off! Yes, this post is a tad picture heavy but I am really happy with these new Pinkey Nails creations and I feel they deserve a few extra photos. With that being said, I think it's time to check out that sweet holo I mentioned earlier. It ended up being my favorite of the two...
Now, normally I would apologize for posting a window shot...But really, there's no apology necessary. I'm Just A Girl is gorgeous! Don't know about you guys, but I haven't seen many neon pink holos. I love this stuff, I didn't want to take it off. Here's a closeup to show more detail...
Sara did an awesome job, the formula is perfect. My swatch is 3 coats over Seche Clear base coat. There's an awesome mix of black hearts, pink holographic hearts, and neon pink matte squares blended in with an insane amount of holo. How 'bout a half-ass macro?
It's not the best shot, but it does show a bit more detail. As with any polish containing larger glitters, there was a tad bit of fishing involved with getting the hearts. Giving the bottle a quick shake here & there cuts down on most of that. Dry time was good with both polishes, that's always a plus. Last on the review list is the cuticle oil. Check it out, those little clovers are adorable!
Ok, I need to tell you I've only been using this since Tuesday. So as far as long-term goes I can't say much but I like what I see so far. It seems to absorb quickly into the cuticles and nails. I don't have the butter fingers after applying this stuff like I did when I tried Sally Hansen's vitamin E oil. The 3 main ingredients are tee tree oil, vitamin E oil, and mineral oil. The scent is crisp and clean, obviously the tee tree oil. There will be an option to order different scented cuticle oils, but they wont be kept in stock. Any scented oils will be custom made to order. Don't forget, custom polish orders are accepted too. So my opinion of the new Pinkey Nails products I've tried....I'm loving Glow Worm, but I think I'm Just A Girl is my favorite. The cuticle oil seems to be working well too. Now comes the annoying part. Which polish is your favorite from this review? Do ya own any Pinkey Nails pretties yet? Got any lemmings? Lemme know in the comments yo, or don't that's just fine too. Well I think that about wraps it up for this post peeps. Until next time...
